Ruby Anderson 96, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away Friday, October 5, 2018 at Grace Living Center in Oklahoma City.
Graveside services will be Monday October 8, 2018 at Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche, Oklahoma with Rev. Dean and Freda Hall officiating, arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter- Smart Funeral Directors.
Family visitation will be Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at Carter- Smart Funeral Home.
Ruby was born February 13, 1922 in Corum, Oklahoma to Frank and Katie (Burton) Hartman. She graduated High School at Comanche and married Fred E. Anderson of Addington, Oklahoma on May 20, 1939 in Comanche, Oklahoma. After several moves they resided in Lindsay in 1946 then to Texas in 1966 then back to Duncan, Oklahoma in 1984 and back to Lindsay in January of 2000, she retired from Texas Public School. She was a member of Lindsay Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son; Freddie W. Anderson & his wife Vera of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, son; James (Jim) Owens & his wife Lou Ann of Mansfield, Texas, sister-in-laws; Donna Hartman of Ft. Worth, Texas, Mary Hartman of Sterling, Oklahoma and Kathrine Anderson of Comanche, Oklahoma, four granddaughters; Rhonda Smith & Husband Mike of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Gennie Anderson, Kristi Ramsey & Husband Chris of Knoxville, Tenn. And the late Angela Hughes of Chickasha, Oklahoma, also 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, 2 foster grandchildren; 4 step great-grandchildren, also by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a son; Cecil Anderson, 2 brothers; Glen & Cecil Hartman, and a granddaughter; Angela Hughes.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lindsay Calvary Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.
