Bessie Margaret Stone Riley, 89, of Melber died Friday at her home.
She was a longtime member of Owens Chapel United Methodist Church, retired from
Graves County Board of Education as a cafeteria worker and a former employee of
Florsheim Shoe Factory and Claussner's Hosiery. Her hobbies included gardening,
fishing, quilting and embroidery. She loved being with her children,
grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family members.
Services will be held Monday, July 12, 2010, at 11:00 a. m. at Owens Chapel
United Methodist Church with the Revs. Vida McClure and Randy Story officiating.
Burial will follow at Owens Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be held today, July 11, 2010, after 5:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak
Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home and after 9:00 a.m. Monday at the Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara "Bobbie" Seay of Melber, Ky., and
Sharon Jett and husband Richard of Mayfield, Ky.; one brother, Charles Stone and
wife Virgileen of Kevil, Ky.; one daughter-in-law, Rhonda Riley of Paducah;
seven grandchildren, Mark Seay (Penny), Wade Seay (Beverly), Lisa Colston,
Junita Seay, Misty Childers, Amanda Jett and Janice Litchfield; nine great
grandchildren, Kaylee and Kyler Childers, Carter Jett, Hillary Riley, Josie
Seay, Bethany Seay, Ashley and Aaron Foss and Shawn Turner; and several nieces
and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Hillart Samuel Riley; one son, Clifford
Wayne Riley; her parents, Henry Thomas Stone and Gertrude Ellen Blanchard Stone;
one sister, Annis Fay Burnett; one brother, James Stone; and two grandchildren,
Matt Riley and Venita Seay.
