Anna J. Bryant, 81, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2003, at Columbus Regional Hospital. She was a resident of Columbus. She was born Nov. 21, 1921, in Columbia, Ky. Her parents were Frank and Bessie (Burton) Bryant. She married Henry W. Bryant on April 20, 1940. He preceded her in death June 26, 1976. Survivors include four sons, Kenneth Lee Bryant of Franklin, Steven Bryant and Danny Eugene Bryant, both of Columbus, and Mark Allen Bryant of Madison; a daughter, Sherry Arlene Burton of Columbus; two sisters, Gladys Coffey of Scipio and Mayme Farley of Columbus; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by a brother, Alvin Bryant; and three great-grandchildren. She was a housewife. She was a member of the Church of the Galilean in Columbus. The Rev. Roger Gifford will conduct a service at 2 p.m. Thursday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
