Lawanda J. "Sissy" Barnett-Gilley entered this life February 13, 1953 to Bobby Joe and Evelyn Jane (Wilson) Barnett in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. She entered into rest July 28, 2007 at Sulphur, Oklahoma at the age of 54 years.
Sissy grew up in Davis, Oklahoma and graduated from Davis High School. She and Jimmy Don Gilley were married on November 1, 1991. For a number of years, she played the piano at Immanuel Baptist Church in Davis, Oklahoma. Sissy enjoyed crocheting and knitting.
She was preceded by her mother, Evelyn Barnett and one brother Lee "Boots" Barnett. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Don Gilley; father, Bob Barnett of Davis, Oklahoma; one brother, Joe Barnett and wife, Patty, of Davis, Oklahoma; two nephews, Shawn Barnett and Todd Barnett and wife, Courtney; one great nephew, Tye Barnett and one great niece, Alexis Barnett of all Davis, Oklahoma.
