Mrs. Florence Ballinger
After a protracted illness of more that five months, Mrs. Florence Fazio Ballinger, widow of Frank M. Ballinger, of Keokuk, Iowa, died at her residence, 2231 Q street northwest, at 8 o'clock last evening.

Mrs. Ballinger belonged to one of the oldest families of the District. Her grandfather, Samuel Burche, was clerk of the House of Representatives for forty years and was sent to Europe in 1814 by President Monroe, and during the trip he collected books which formed the nucleus of the present congressional Library. Her mother, Mrs. John C. Pedrick, was one of the best known of the old residents of the Capital.

The deceased was a memberof St. Margaret's Episcopal Church and of the Continental Chapter of the D.A.R.

Mrs. Ballinger is survived by six children -- F.M. Ballinger, of Keokuk, Iowa; Mrs. Miriam P. Berryhill, of Washington; Mrs Ida F. Johnson, of Spokane, Wash.; Webster Ballinger, of Denver, Colo.; Mrs Amie G. Keys, of St. Louis Mo. and J.H. Ballinger, of Seattle, Wash.

Florence America M Fazio was the daughter of Lewis C F Fazio and America Glorvina Burche (1813 – 1893). She married Franklin Morehead Frank Ballinger 1868 – 1937. Children:

1) Miriam "Minnie" (Ballinger) Berryhill 1869 – 1963

2) Ida Fatio (Ballinger) Johnston 1872 – 1963

3) Webster Ballinger 1874 – 1969

4) America Glorvina "Amie" (Ballinger) Keys 1876 – 1965

5) John Henry Ballinger 1879 – 1964
