Eleanor, was the daughter of Henry Patrick Barwick and Sarah Nunn. She married Hal Spivey.

Graveside services for Eleanor Barwick Spivey, 67, of East Dublin, will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Jimmy Thigpen will officiate. Mrs. Spivey was born in Toombs County. She lived most of her life in Laurens County. She was a Baptist and was retired from Forstman's. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hal Spivey; her father H. P. Barwick; and a brother, Edward Barwick. She died Thursday. Survivors include her daughter, Lisa (Adam) Hodges of East Dublin; her son, Phillip (Teresa) Spivey of East Dublin; her mother, Sarah Barwick of Soperton; her sister, Claudia Childs of Monroe; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Michael Spivey, Ryan Spivey, Keith Spivey and Chris Childs will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Laurens County, P. O. Box 1344 , Dublin , Ga. 31040 or to United Hospice, 106 West Main Street, Swainsboro, Ga. 30401.
The family will be at the home of Lisa and Adam Hodges, 101 Powell Drive, East Dublin and will receive friends at Townsend Brother Funeral Home tonight from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. Townsend Brothers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
