Eugene Talmadge Barnes, was born in Colquitt County to the late Joseph and Mary M. Barnes. He was a former mechanic for Spence Oldsmobile in Thomasville. Mr. Barnes died Wednesday, Jan. 1, at Archbold Memorial Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Myrtle E. Barnes; a son, Doyle K. Barnes; a daughter, Elizabeth Wood; a daughter, Marie Johnson; a daughter, Eunice M. Spring; a son, Tony Barnes; a daughter, Patricia Johnson; a daughter, Tammy Laws and a son, Henry Barnes; three brothers, Joe Barnes, Ira Barnes and Marvin Barnes; two sisters, Mary Rhodes of Florida and Bonnie Barnes; 21 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Naomi Lange; father, Joseph Barnes; and mother, Mary M. Barnes.
