NOTE: After 20 years of research, I will be forever grateful to my cousin, Elizabeth Bolt, for showing that DNA testing/genetic genealogy has shown that William J Brown was the father of my grandmother, Etta Emaline Brown.

Etta's mother was Florence Elizabeth George who was born in Casa, Perry County, Arkansas (10-1876) but who died on an unknown date and location.

Mama Lewis was born as a Brown, but raised as a Walker and George.

Etta's step-father was John L Walker who was born in Arkansas (4-1872) and died in Yell County, Arkansas (before 1900).

My grandmother married my grandfather, Charles Elzie Goldsmith, on February 4, 1911 in Montague County, Texas.

My grandmother married my Step-grandfather, Henry C. Lewis, on April 12, 1924 in Dillard Camp, Carter County, Oklahoma.

Mama Lewis,
The family will always miss you and love you so very much. There are so many precious things the family could say about you.
You were a beautiful mother to four children, Clarence, Cleo, Emily and Odessa and a beautiful stepmother to Wade, Kenneth and Stanley.
You were a very beloved grandmother to so many of us, and You and Hank (Henry C. Lewis) even took on the added responsibility of raising some of us.
We will will always remember your love and strength and firmness. We will never forget your love of animals and your flower gardens.
