Adnie Jewell, 89, formerly of Sullivan, died at 12:33 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 1990, at Putman County Hospital, Greencastle.
She was born June 18, 1901, in Sullivan County to James and Petressa Kersey Ransford. She was a member of the First Farmersburg Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Jewell, who died in 1956; a son, Max Jewell, who died in 1985; and a daughter, LOois Kirtley, who died in 1989.
Survivors include one daughter, Doris Stoelting, Greencastle; one son, Keith Jewell, Lebanon; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren; several stepgreat-grandchildren; and seversl stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Alexander Funeral Home with the Rev. Glen Youngblood officiating. Burial is in Pogue Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
