Les (Vene) is survived by his loving spouse Janet, daughters Valerie, Marlene, Sandy, Julie, Earlene and Vicki, and son Donald (Buddy). In addition, he is survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by a son Darrel Lewis and a sister Zona Reiber, his father Lester L. Hardin and mother Alice Vaughn. He owned and operated L.V. Hardin Trucking for many years, hauling potatoes, gravel, corn and logs. He taught himself to play a variety of stringed instruments during his life including the mandoline, “fiddle,” banjo, acoustic and electric guitar. He enjoyed many evenings playing bluegrass with his friends and family. He had a passion for restoring vehicles and selling them to buy more. His greatest pride was the truck he built with a Western Star cab and pickup truck bed.
