Betty was my step-grandmother for at least 17 years. She has always been Grandma Betty to me.

She married Ernie Wilson, with whom she had two daughters, Carolyn Kay (Wilson) Frey, who was my stepmother, and Beverly (Wilson) Aldrich. She and Ernie later divorced.

At some point, Grandma Betty married a man named Jack Allison. Jack died, but I don't honestly remember if I ever met him. Grandma Betty never remarried after that.

Grandma Betty loved to create things. She was known for her paintings, especially, of which I have several. She had for many years a Pomeranian dog named Snickers, whom I remember fondly. She also kept a lovely garden in her backyard.

Grandma Betty was a lovely woman, and I'll miss her.
