MISS YZNAGA'S FUNERAL.
Services at St. Patrick's Largely Attended This Morning.
Rev. Father Smith celebrated the requiem mass at the funeral services held this morning at St. Patrick's Church over the remains of Miss Martina C. Yznaga, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jose M. Yznaga of No. 2 C street northeast, who died September 20 at Vancouver, Wash., of bronchial pneumonia. The body arrived here yesterday, having come over the most direct route. It was accompanied by her sister and husband, Lieut, and Mrs. James Regan, and children, whom Miss Yznaga had been visiting for some weeks. The deceased was a young woman of sterling qualities, being noted for her Christian charity and unselfishness. She was educated at the Washington and Georgetown Visitation convents and was an active member of the alumni of the latter institution. Her education was completed at the Convent de Roule of Paris. She was connected with many Catholic charitable associations of this city, and the loss which these societies feel has been expressed by letters of sympathy from every Catholic organization and school in the city. The
numerous floral tributes which covered the casket and accompanied the remains to the cemetery further attested Miss Yznaga's host of friends. The Interment was in the family lot at Rock Creek cemetery. Many relatives from New York and Philadelphia attended the funeral. A number of priests from different parishes of this city were present in the sanctuary. The pallbearers were Willis B. Wilson. William Mathias, Edward Brown. Dr. H. Medford, Dr. Charles D. O'Connor and B. F. Saul.
