Kim Deray Baird, age 57, of Nephi, Utah, passed away on June 7, 2009 in Provo, Utah. He was diagnosed 10 weeks ago with glioblastoma, a brain tumor for which there is no cure.

Kim was born March 2, 1952 in Murray, Utah to Mark J. Baird and Ruth Melissa Smith, both of whom preceded him in death.

He grew up in Draper, the youngest of six children. Kim excelled in all things mechanical and was a Sterling Scholar at Jordan High School. Kim spent his life in the field of technology, working, volunteering, and venturing out on his own. He married Doris F. King on March 7, 1979.

He is survived by his wife and siblings Joseph Mark (Carolyn) Baird, Karl S. (Jeannine) Baird, Claudine (Noal) Greenwood, Glenda (Bruce) Coltrin, Paul (Pilar) Baird.

Kim will be buried at the gravesite of his father in the Draper City Cemetery, 12450 South 900 East.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 11:00 a.m.
All family and friends who wish to attend are welcome.
