WILLIAM WHIPPLE FUNERAL SERVICES HELD
ONEIDA, July 6 -- Funeral services for William Whipple, 75, were held from the late home, 309 North Lake street, this afternoon, with Rev. Fredercik W. Schwenk, pastor of St. Paul's Church, officiating. Burial was made in Grove Cemetery, near Durhamville. Mr. Whipple died Saturday following a long illness. He suffered a stroke 12 years ago. and never recovered.
He was born in the Town of Nelson, in 1856, but had made Oneida his home early all his life. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Rose Kaiser Whipple; four sons, William, Robert, and Ernest Whipple of Oneida and Fred Whipple of Kansas City, Mo., four daughters, Mrs. E. R. Durkee and Mrs. E. R. Richmond of Sherrill, Gladys and Pauline Whipple of Oneida; a brother, M. H. Whipple of Merrillsville; a half-brother, Frank Cary, Syracuse; two half-sisters, Mrs. Rowena Colway and Mrs. Edith Baker, Syracuse.
