Mrs. Slappey was a native of Spalding County and had resided here for twelve years. She was a daughter of the late Milton Neill and Minnie Lee Entrekin Neill. She was a member of the Soperton, Georgia Methodist Church. She was formerly employed at Manhattan Shirt Company.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Meyer, Hollywood, California, and Mrs. Nancy Akin, Sunnyside, Georgia; a son, Fred E. Turner, U. S.
