Ellen Dunn Miller, 91, formerly of Sharon, passed away late Thursday evening, Feb. 8, 1996 in an Ogden nursing home. Ellen was born on Feb. 19, 1904 in Bennington, a daughter of Crandell and Ida Jane Wright Dunn.

Ellen graduated from Fielding Academy in Paris, and worked one year as a night operator in the telephone office in Paris. She attended Ricks College summer school for five summers and taught school during the winter at Sharon. She taught one year at the Lincoln school in Montpelier and later taught for another four years at Sharon. She also did some substitute teaching.

On June 26, 1929 she married Albert Ellsworth Miller in the Logan LDS Temple. Albert preceded her in death on June 28, 1995.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as president of the Sharon Ward Relief Society and Primary as well as many other stake and ward positions. When Albert and Ellen retired from farming in November of 1971 they moved to Chubbuck.

Survivors include three sons and their spouses, Al and LaRee Miller of Ogden, Ted and Peggy Miller of Rexburg, Taft and Carol Miller of Pocatello, two daughters and one son-in-law, Gwen Bartschi of Salt Lake City, and Ann and Nolan Stuck of Idaho Falls, two brothers, Stanley and Rose Dunn of Montpelier and Stuart and Alice Dunn of Provo, 24 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four sisters, two brothers, one grandson, and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Monday at the Chubbuck LDS Stake Center. Interment was in the Montpelier Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Manning-Wheatly Funeral Chapel in Pocatello.
