RIGBY - Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Ave Higley Skinner, who died Monday at an Idaho Falls Hospital, will be held Thursday in the Ririe LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop J. Arlo Moss officiating.
A resident of the Upper Snake River Valley for half a century, Mrs. Skinner was born March 6, 1884 in Montana. Shortly after her marriage to George O. Higley in Grantsville, Utah, in 1900, they moved to Rexburg where they resided until 1935. Following a divorce in 1936 she moved to Ririe where she was married to John Clark, who died in 1941. She was married to Frank Skinner in 1944. Six children preceded her in death.
Besides her husband, she is survived by 11 sons and daughters: Mrs. Eva Korn, Salmon; George Higley, Portland, Oregon; Mrs. Lovina Roth, Thornton; Howard Higley, Garfield; Melinda Simmons, Salt Lake City; Harold Higley, Thornton; Steven Higley, Salmon; Hyrum Higley, Lorin Higley, Mrs. Clara Green, Salt Lake City; Keith Higley, Rexburg; 37 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
