Served with 1 Company CAC Washington NG; 11 Co CAC Washington NG to Oct 12, 1917; 3 Co CAC Great Falls, Montana to January 3, 1918; Battery B, 63 Arty CAC to May 13, 1918; CAC Ft. Monroe, Virginia to discharged on March 21, 1919. Service overseas: July 14, 1918 to February 26, 1919.
On 15 September 1979 at the Washington Veterans Home, at Retsil in Washington State. Donald passed away, and was buried in the Homes Cemetery.
