Robert was married to Lottie Ann Jones 15 March 1893. They were the parents of eight children: Samuel Theodore, Everett Ray, Evie May, (twins) Artie Gordon, Garthie Thomas, Cordie Belle, Amos Deward, and Sallie Naomi Manco.
Robert has a place in the history of Warren County as he was the builder of the large T.B. hospital built in Riverside. The hospital referred to as the dirt house, from all indications was a form of adobe. The house was completed soon after Robert died. Certificate of death precludes Robert died of a brain hemorage. He was forty-seven.
