Ronald David Hibbard, 63, of North Rome, Pa., died Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at Memorial Hospital, Towanda, Pa.

Ronald had been a resident of the Bradford County Manor in West Burlington Twp., Pa. for the past two months.

Born Nov. 17, 1944 in Sayre, Pa., he was the son of the late Eric Hibbard and Aletha Bahr Hibbard.

Ronald was a veteran of the Viet Nam Conflict having served in the US Army.

He was employed by the Ingersoll-Rand Foundry in Athens, Pa. for over 20 years, until declining health no longer permitted him to continue. In earlier years, Ronald enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in his garden. He loved reading and photography.

He is survived by: four sisters, Dorothy Ann Hibbard of Sayre, Pa., June Hibbard of Hertford, N.C., Alice Mae Mower of Endicott, N.Y., Dale Breitenfeld of Aurora, Colo.; several nieces, nephews and cousins; very good friends, Pastor Kenneth and Ruth Crain.

The funeral and committal service will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home, 217 York Ave., Towanda, Pa., with Pastor Kenneth Crain officiating. Towanda American Legion Post No. 42 will accord military honors Saturday evening at the funeral home. Interment will be on Monday in the Evergreen Cemetery, Albany Twp., Pa. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.

The family suggests that memorial contributions may be directed to the Bradford County Manor Patient Activities Fund, RR 3 Box 322, Troy, Pa. 16947 or to the Windham Summit Bible Church in care of Kathy Gorsline, RR1 Box 268, Ulster, Pa. 18850 in Ronald David Hibbard's memory.
