Alfred was the son of Edmund and Seraphine (Provencal) Paquette. He was born in Worcester and lived there for his whole life. He was an iron worker for 35 years with the Boston & Albany and New York Central Railroads. He retired in 1944. His wife, Marie Soucy (b in 1879) died in 1953.

He was a member of the Brotherhood and Maintenanceand Way Employees, the Counseil Franchese - Laurier 56, St Jean de Baptiste Society and Artisans Society.

At the time of his death he left three sons, Armand E, Charles A and Major Lucien L Paquette, USAF stationed in Japan; one brother, Alfred of West Brookfield, seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
