Sue Garnet Williams was the daughter of Solomon Buxton William, Sr and his wife Eva Douglas Thornton. She lived in New York City with her concert pianist sister, Alice Vaiden. In July 1946, they were involved in a wreck returning to their home in Warren Co in which Alice was killed and Sue was badly injured.
