She was born April 1, 1875 in Graysville, Monroe, Ohio, daughter of the late William Robert & Mary Ann (Ice) Powell.
Martha & her husband "Alex" lived in Tyler and New Cumberland, West Virginia, then East Liverpool, Ohio before settling in Barberton, Ohio. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with family. Annually, the Thanksgiving dinner was prepared at her home at 544 Hopocan Ave, Barberton for the extended family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Wesley Otto & John Colvin Powell, and one sister, Nellie Myrtle Powell.
Martha is survived by her husband, Russel Alexander White, whom she married on July 23, 1891. Also, two sons, Harry (Edith) of Barberton, Paul (Della) of Wadsworth; one daughter, Lena Myrtle (Earl) Lindeman, of Norton; five grandchildren, Jack, Martha, Betty, Earl, & Paul; four brothers, William Wiley (Annie), James Madison (Matilda), Robert Oather (Daisy), & Charles Christopher Powell all of Barberton; five sisters, Lilly Dorothy (Matthew) Cline, Cora (James) Campbell, Mary Minnie (Herman) Foraker, Bertha Marie (James) Covert all of Barberton, & Alice Powell.
Burial at Lakewood Cemetery, Akron, Ohio.
