G M ASHLEY, farmer, Section 13, P.O. Port Huron, is a native of Michigan, and was born in the city of Detroit February 17, 1849. When five years of age his parents removed to Sanilac County and remained there eleven years. He then cam e to Port Huron and lived there until 1877, and since then has lived on his farm near the town of Kimball. It contained ninety-two acres. In April, 1871, he married Miss Hannah E. CHRISTIAN, a native of Canada. They have six children : Martha, Olive, Edith C., Susie M., Robert A., and Clara Belle.
