Bethe, Sept. 21--George C. Schucker, 66, died suddenly this morning in his home here. Curtis Swope, deputy coroner, who investigated, issued a certificate of death due to a heart attack.
He was born in Jefferson Township, a son of the late Henry and Emma (Haas) Schucker, and at one time operated a hotel in Rehrersburg and served as a mail carrier between Womelsdorf and Hamburg. He was last employed as a caretaker by the Bethel school district. He was a member of St. John's Reformed Church, Host.
Surviving are his widow, Mamie A. (Lebo); three children, Mabel, wife of Ralph Fisher, of Sinking Spring; Clarence R., of Fredericksburg R.D.; Leroy, of Berne; also seven grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Zeller, of this place; Emma, wife of Harry Stoudt, of Bernville R. D.; Gussie, wife of Ralph Riehl, of Strausstown. A brother, John, preceded him in death last week. Two children also preceded him in death. C. E. Schucker, Rehersburg, funeral director, has charge of arrangements.
