Alvin L. Faine 73, Minister, died Sunday Feb 26, 1889, born in OKC in 1915. 1926 graduate of Douglass High School. U.S. Army veteran. Owner of Faine Garbage & Saw Dust Services. He was known as the preacher who was always willing to give a helping hand. He pastored the Garden of Prayer Church of God in Christ since 1953. In 1964 was appointed Supt. of El Reno Dist. of the C.O.G.I.C. Churches.

Survived by his wife, Grace; a son Joseph; 3 daughters, Utang Shorter, Lein Carbin, Marilyn Adams Gibbs; 6 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter; brothers, Levern, Raleigh and Govan Paul; sister, Zelia Summers; many relatives and Friends.

Wake 6 pm Friday Garden of Prayer, Church of God in Christ.

Services 11am, Saturday, March 4, 1989, St John Baptist Church, OKC with interment at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery, OKC. Rolfe Funeral Home Directors.
