SERVICES HELD SUNDAY FOR RAYMOND R. GEORGE
Raymond Roy George, prominent Blandinsville farmer, died last Thursday morning in the barn at his home southwest of Blandinsville. Death apparently was caused by a heart attack. He had been under a doctor's care. Mr. George was 69.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p. m. Sunday at the Clugston Funeral Home at Blandinsville with the Rev. J. A. Wilson officiating. Burial was in Glade City Cemetery at Blandinsville.
He was born August 23, 1896 to John Henry and Mary Ellen Greenly George, and was a lifelong resident of the same farm in Fountain Green Township.
He was married March 15, 1921 to Mabel May Allen, who survives with one daughter, Mrs. Elgin Johnson of LaHarpe, one granddaughter, one brother, Dewey George of Macomb, and two sisters, Mrs. Dora Alton of Blandinsville and Mrs. May Carmack of LaHarpe. A daughter, Beverly, died in 1938. Four brothers, Clarence, Jacob, Henry and Cecil, and one sister, Mrs. Florence Jones preceded him in death.
