A resident of Kernersville, NC, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Harrill Atkins; son, Johnny C. Davis; grandson, Rodney Davis; her parents, Gordon Hampton & Etta Finney Shores; 10 brothers & sisters, Baxter Shore, Grace Duffy, Helen Gobble, Ruth Wilson, Nellie Beck, Hazel Holder, Otis Shore, Ransom Shore, & Jack Shore.
Survivors include four children, Jack Dais, Rebecca Flynt, Ken W. Davis, & Gary T. Davis; brother, Robert Shores; sister, Stella Cranford; 27 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
Interment followed funeral services conducted Sunday, December 9, 2008.
