Private funeral services for Mrs. Ida Tooke Hart, widow of Barney Hart, will be held at 10 am today in Hardage and Sons' Chapel with the Rev. Homer G. Lindsay, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Mrs. Hart died at her home, 574 College Street, Saturday following a long illness. Mr. Hart was a pioneer resident of Jacksonville, having lived here nearly 50 years, and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was born near Davisboro, Ga and was the daughter of Charles Thomas Tooke and Amazon Hines Tooke. Surviving are four daughters: Mrs. Alexander Ray (Daisy Mae Hart), Mrs. Annie H. Gillen (Annie Eliza Hart), Mrs. Veda Chambliss Camp (Veda Amazon Hart) and Mrs. Claude C. Keen (Rachel Atlanta Hart); one son, Barney Catlette Hart; four granddaughters, Mrs. Frank Durden (unknown), Mrs. Raymond E. Norman (Vivian Florane Keen), Miss Veda Deen Hart, and Miss Betty Ray Hart; four grandsons, William Neal Smith, Morris Clark Gillen, John Oliver Chambliss, and Christopher C. Keen (Claude Christopher Keen); four great-granddaughters Miss Mildred Villerette Smith, Willis Jenkins Richardson, John Oliver Chambliss Jr., and Frank C. Keen all of this city; one sister, Mrs. Carry L. Roan of Bremerton, Wash., and two brothers, C. T. Tooke (Charlton Taylor) of Fort Myers, and R. E. Tooke (Rufus E. Tooke) of Oglethorpe, Ga. Burial will be in the family lot in Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Hardage and Sons' Funeral Home.
