Dorothy M. "Dottie" Allen Premo, 70, of 2312 Montgomery St., died Thursday at her home. She had been in failing health for the past several months.
Mrs. Premo was a secretary for 27 years at St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center, retiring in 1987.
She was a life member of A.D. Charbonneau Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, a member of Showtime for more than 35 years, a past member of St. Vincent de Paul Society and a member of St. Mary's Altar Society. She enjoyed interior decorating.
Born Aug. 26, 1931, in Ogdensburg, daughter of Arthur and Mary Kiah Allen, she graduated from St. Mary's Academy in 1949 .
She married Warren J. Premo on July 16, 1949 , in St. Mary's Sacred Heart Chapel with Monsignor Gordon Caseo officiating. Mr. Premo died Sept. 20, 1996.
Surviving are three sons and a daughter-in-law, a daughter and her husband, a sister, a brother, eight grandchildren, two great-grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
Two sisters, Marion Ingrassia and Gladys, died before her.
A prayer service will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Fox-McLellan Funeral Home, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral with Monsignor Harry K. Snow, rector, officiating. Entombment will be in Foxwood Memorial Park.
