Albert C. Gartman, 79, of 1824 N. 7th st., died Sun. at Sheboygan Memorial hospital, after a short illness.
He was born July 21, 1866, in Town Wilson, and attended the public schools. He moved to Salt Lake City UT, where he became a machinist, later going into business for himself and finally in the dental supply business. After living in Salt Lake City 30 years, he returned here in 1926 and was employed at the Garton Toy company, retiring a number of years ago.
He was a 32nd degree Mason of the Santa Maria lodge, Salt Lake City. Survivors are his widow, the former Bertha Thimmig, whom he married in June, 1921; two (step) daughters and one (step) son, Clarence C., of Warrenville IL; Mrs. Herman (Lolita) Schuette of Denver CO, and Mrs. L. E. (Zeino) Weber, Des Plaines IL; four grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Henry [(Wilhelmina)] Siegworth, city, and Mrs. Anton [Louise] Schmeler (sic, Schirmler), Edgar WI.
Funeral services will be held Wed. at 1 p.m. at Robert H. Kroos Funeral home, Rev. E. H. Wessler officiating, with burial in Lutheran cemetery. The body may be viewed at the funeral home from Tues. afternoon on.

Funeral services for Albert C. Gartman, 79, of 1824 N. 7th st., who passed away Sun. at the Sheboygan Memorial hospital, were held Wed. afternoon at Robert H. Kroos Funeral home with Rev. E. H. Wessler, pastor of Zion Reformed church, officiating. Burial was made in Lutheran cemetery.
Pallbearers were LeRoy, Harold, and Alton Gartman, Elmer Opgenorth [nephew], William Merget and Harry Thimmig.
During the services Mrs. Alvira Stuart and Miss Hattie Rodewald sang two duet selections, "Softly and Tenderly Jesus Is Calling" and "Abide with Me."
Among the many beautiful floral pieces which banked the casket as the body lay in state were tributes from Garton Toy company, The American Telephone and Telegraph Division Service group of Chicago, and the office employes of American Telephone and Telegraph.
Attending the funeral services from away were Mr. and Mrs. Carl [Lavina, niece] Rahm and Mrs. F. Gartman [Jennie, sister-in-law], Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. Al Schuette, Cleveland; Mr. and Mrs. L. Kraus, Manitowoc; Mrs. W. [Emma] Mattes and son, Winston Mattes, of Kiel; Mrs. Evelyn Strassburg [niece], Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. [Ardella, niece] Redding (sic, Reding), Haven, and others from Sheboygan Falls, Howards Grove and surrounding county communities.
Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schuette and son, Kim, of Denver CO, were unable to attend the rites due to an illness in the family. Mrs. Schuette is a daughter of the deceased.
