Adams

Martha Adams, 93, of Temple and formerly of Buckholts, died Saturday, June 6, 2009 in a Temple nursing home. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church in Cameron with Rev. Doug Budd and Chaplain Dave McKee officiating. Burial will be the Oak Hill Cemetery.

Adams was born May 19, 1916 in Dallas, Texas to Joseph and Bessie (Solkowa) Valcik. She married Edwin Adams and he preceded her in death in 1986. Mrs. Adams worked as secretary for the Milam County Health Department for many years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where she had served as elder and taught Sunday school. A brother John Valcik and a sister, Olga Pokladnik also preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Edwin Adams of Temple and daughter Karen Kammer of Katy as well as six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Cameron.
