JAMES LEER

James "Hank" Leer, 81, Elwood,
died Wednesday at All Memorial
Hospital in Muncie.
Born Jan 13, 1920, he was the
son of Joseph and Laura (Fox)
Leer.
He retired as baliff of Superior
Court I in 1993, served as a Madi-
son County Deputy Sheriff, and
worked a number of years at the
Jackley Funeral Home.
He was a member of St.
Joseph Catholic Church and
Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife Ann
Rita (Cole) Leer, who several nieces
and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his
brothers and sister.
Friends may call at the Jackley-
Landrum Funeral Home from 4 to 8
p.m. Friday. Rosary service will be at
7 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated at the St. Joseph
Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Satur-
day. Rev. Kenneth Raxzek will offi-
ciate. Burial will be in the Elwood
City Cemetery.
