FRED V BRESHEARS DIES AT HOME IN GOODSON
Fred V. Breshears, a resident of the Goodson community for many years, died suddenly early Friday, July 31, at his home there.
An obituary follows:
FREDRICK VALE BRESHEARS
Fredrick Vale Breshears, son of John and Laura Breshears, was born Aug. 1, 1892, near Goodson, MO., and departed this life July 31, 1959, at his home in Goodson at the age of 66 years, 11 months, and 30 days.
He was united in marriage to Emma Catherine Vincent on March 10, 1914. To this union were born five children: Elva of Strafford, MO; Glenn of Kansas City, MO; Earl of Buffalo, MO; Evelyn Faulkner of Kansas City, MO; and Eva Hinkle of Halfway, MO. He also leaves 12 grandchildren and two brothers, Arthur of Bolivar, MO and Jim of Portales, NM. Two other brothers preceded him in death.
He professed faith in Christ at an early age and joined the Hamlin Memorial Baptist church of Springfield, MO later moving his membership to Goodson Baptist church, where he remained a faithful member until death.
He was a kind and loving husband and father and will be sadly missed by this family and friends.
Funeral services were held Sunday, August 2, 1959, at 10:30 AM in the Goodson Baptist church, with Rev. Dennis Spear and Rev. Nevin Breshears officiating. Burial was in Lindley Creek Cemetery under direction of the Pitts Funeral Home of Bolivar. Pallbearers were Claude Brooks, Lee Brooks, L. T. Hammer, Dean Gladden, Herbert Pritchard and Burford Clark.
