Coy Gleave Burr--- Antimony, UT Our precious wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, sister and friend, left us on October 19, 2007 to return to her Heavenly Father and family waiting for her.
She was born on September 14, 1928 to Herbert and Lora Stewart Gleave in Antimony, UT. She married her sweetheart, F. Ned Burr on Oct. 12, 1953 in the Manti LDS Temple. From their union came four daughters, 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
After graduating from high school she attended and graduated from Branch Agricultural College (BAC) in Cedar City. She then moved to Salt Lake City where she graduated from Excelcius Beauty College. She also attended one year at Brigham Young University.
Coy was a faithful member of the LDS Church throughout her life. She loved missionary work. She served a mission in the Southern California mission as a young woman, in New Zealand with her husband and in South Jordan as a stake missionary.
Coy loved to play the piano and organ. She played many years in primary and church as well as for her family's enjoyment. She loved the simple things in life like sewing, cooking, taking walks and making quilts. She adored her little dog Mitsie. Her love for her Heavenly Father, her husband and her family were all consuming in her life.
Coy leaves behind her family whom she loved and who love her: her husband, Ned, of 54 years; her children: Melanie (Kevan) Blair, South Jordan; Debbie (Brent) White, South Jordan; Lisa (Ray) Nelson, Enoch; Laurie (John) Sandberg, St. George; her little dog, 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Billie (Phil) Allen, Antimony.
