"Milas Monroe Wishon, the son of Isaac Coonrod & Cynthia (Kilgore) Wishon, born January 4, 1868, in a little log cabin near the Low Gap Spring in Newton county, Arkansas. He was the second of a family of seven. The family were as follows: Martha Ann, Milas Monroe, Rheuben Henry, Mary Susan, Amanda Jane, Rhoda Louisa and Menerva Caldona."

"On October 27, 1886 I married Miss Caroline Eoff, the daughter of Samuel and Catherine (Crues) Eoff and to our union the following children were born: Walter Gray Wishon born July 4, 1889, married Linda Villines December 24, 1912; Lilly May Wishon, born July 4, 1889, married Elmer Trunnell, died August 21, 1912; Ersie Pearl Wishon born March 20, 1891, married Frank Villines; 2/ Sam Russell; Arthur Floyd Wishon born March 19, 1893, married to Nancy Villines September 12, 1915; Nellie Frances Wishon born January 9, 1895, married Walter F Lackey April 16, 1911.

"January 12, 1898 my home was darkened with sadness . My wife, Caroline, passed away leaving me with five small children....January 4, 1899 I married a Miss Elizabeth Keeton, the daughter of Alfred and Mary (Henson) Keeton and to our union the following children were born : Cora Edna born December 8, 1899, Isaac born March 4, 1903; George Custer born January 19, 1912. And of the above children, all have passed away except for one son, George Custer."
