William Henry Burroff, 85, Topeka, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 1988, at a Topeka nursing home after a long illness.

Mr. Burroff was a computer operator for Fleming Foods 18 years, had worked in the Topeka Supply Depot during World War II and in the Kansas Motor Vehicle Department Drivers License Bureau seven years. He retired in 1988.

He was born Oct. 25, 1903, at Sharps Chapel, Tenn., the son of Thomas Elvin and Louella Hill Burroff. He attended schools in the states of Washington, Missouri and Kansas before he was graduated from Topeka High School. He later attended Stricker's Business College in Topeka.

Mr. Burroff was a member of First Assembly of God.

He was married to Elsie Barngrover June 6, 1942, at Topeka. She survives.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Newcomer-Diffenderfer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to First Assembly of God, 500 S.W. 27th, 66611, or Alzheimer's Disease Association, P.O. Box 1427, 66601."
