Josephine Brask Remley, 82, a longtime resident of the Wenatchee Valley, died Monday morning, Sept. 30, 1996, at the Highline Convalescent Center in East Wenatchee.
She was born on Oct. 4, 1913, at Spokane, to Palmer B. and Elizabeth (Everhart) Brask. She graduated from Cashmere High School in 1931.
On July 30, 1932, she married Richard Ronald Remley in Cashmere. The couple lived in Cashmere for seven years before moving to Dryden, where they lived and worked for 25 years operating the family orchards. In 1965, the couple made their last move to East Wenatchee.
Mrs. Remley's interests were playing and teaching music, playing golf, playing bridge and spending time with family. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wenatchee and a former member of the Cashmere Presbyterian Church. She also was a member of the Wenatchee Golf and Country Club and the Wenatchee Hospital Guild.
Survivors include her two daughters and their husbands, Cheryl and Kent Christensen of Dryden, and Sue and Lloyd Berry of Wenatchee; her five grandchildren; and her eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, in 1984, and by her parents.
Arrangements are by Braun Funeral Home of Cashmere.
JOSEPHINE BRASK REMLEY - A private memorial service will be held for family and close friends of Josephine Brask Remley, 82, on Wednesday, October 2, 1996, at 11:00 a.m. at the Braun Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Bob Shepard will officiate the service. If desired, memorials may be made in Mrs. Remley's name to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements are by Braun Funeral Home of Cashmere, WA.
