John was born the son of Titus England and Susannah Warren in Robertson County Tennessee. The England family was friends with the Richards, Stewart, and Warren families in Franklin County VA in the late 1700s. They emigrated with these families into Tennessee in the early 1800s. Later, most moved on to Illinois, and some to Missouri.
John England married Ann Graham in Tennessee. John's brother Titus had previously married Ann's sister Mary Graham. Both brothers came into Benton Co MO and settled along with their father Isaac, grandfather Titus [see lineage below], and uncle John H. England [1798].
