She was born June 12, 1914, in Farmington Township, Pa., the daughter of Benjamin F. and Christine Eckert Meyer. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Warren, a 34-year member of the Catholic Daughter Court Warren 834, a member of the Russell Volunteer Fire Department for more than 57 years and a 58-year member of the Ackley Grange. She truly enjoyed her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She is survived by two sons: William B. Lyon of Warren, and John E. Lyon of Russell; a daughter, Betty Irvine of Russell; two stepsons: W. Richard Bloss Jr. of Ashland, Ohio, and Thomas Bloss of San Mateo, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Grace Story of Sheffield; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two step grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; a brother, Harold Meyer of Warren; two sisters: Imogene Collins of Sugar Grove, and Patricia Gruber of Russell; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and five step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William A. Lyon, who died in January 1961; and her second husband, W. Richard Bloss, who died in December 1991; and a sister, Mary Meyer Hansen.
