Birtie Raymond Pyrtle, 80 years old of Glen Allen, died Monday at Deal Nursing Home in Jackson, where he had been a patient for one week. He was born October 23, 1894 at Redford. On July 15, 1915 he married Lucy Buehler of Glen Allen.
He was a retired section laborer for MO Pacific Railroad.
He was a member of the Baptist Church at Bismarck.
Surviving are his wife; one son, Elmo Pyrtle of Bridgeton; one brother, Alfred Pyrtle of Piedmont; one sister, Mrs. Hattie Schoch of Mt. Vernon, IL; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren..
Services were Wednesday at Baker Funeral Home, burial in Baker Cemetery.
