COOKEVILLE Funeral
services for James Nunally Bain, 90, of Baxter will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-9p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Bain died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2005, at Bethesda Health Care Center.

He was born Oct. 28, 1914, in Baxter to the late James Anderson Bain and Bonnie Nunally Bain.

Mr. Bain was a wholesale grocery route salesman for 40 years and a member of the First United Methodist
Church.

He served in the US Army Air Force as a Master Sergeant in WW II. Mr. Bain received EAME Theater Ribbon with 5 Bronze Stars, American Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Ribbon and Meritorious Unit Award. He was with the group which stormed the beaches at Normandy.

His family includes his wife, Reba Maddux Bain; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jo Ann and Pat Fields of
Hopkinsville, Ky.; Betty J. and Billy J. Stanton of Baxter; two sons and daughters-in-law, Earl W. and
Tommie Flynn of Nashville and Bill R. and Katherine Flynn of Hopkinsville; a brother, Frank Bain of Baxter; three sisters, Nell Bain of Baxter; Ruth Wooten and Phyliss Hawkins, both of Gainesboro; three granddaughters, Amy Mullican, Leann Fitzgerald and Lisa Switzer; 12 grandchildren, 14 greatgrandchildren and a greatgreat
grandchild.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Joe Bain, two sisters, Elizabeth and
Pearl York; and two brothers-in-law, Bill Wooten and Willie Hawkins.

Bro. Frank Blair will officiate the services.
