Purl A. Brown, 75, Frankfort, died at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at his residence. He served as town marshall for several years before retiring five years ago.
He was a member of the Frankfort United Methodist Church where service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. David White will officiate and burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort.
Friends may call at Fisher's Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Saturday.
A native of Pike County, he was born on March 19, 1895 to William A. and Mary Coe Brown.
On July 12, 1919 he was married to Amanda Claytor who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Horace D., Kingston, Robert A., Columbus, and Purl F., Waverly, seven daughters, Mrs. Morris (Mary) Flesher, Jr., Mrs. Leon (Winona) Graham, Mrs. Mervin (Donna) Crago and Mrs. Charles (Marjorie) Adams, all of Frankfort. Mrs. Kenneth (Virginia) Crago, Canal Winchester, Mrs. Berlin (Katherine) Butterbaugh, Waverly, and Mrs. Linda Barker, Chillicothe, 31 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sons and two grandchildren.
Mr. Brown was a veteran of World War I and a retired Vet- erans Administration Hospital employe.
