Inscription

Top Masonic Emblem: Maj. K "The perfect man and uphold the upright for the end of that man is PEACE"

A member of the Georgia Constitutional Convention of 1861. A strong advocate for local self-government. Well has thou fought the better fight against opposing numbers the cause of truth. In word mightier than they in arm. And for testimony of truth hath borne unmerited reproach. Far worse to bear than VIOLENCE.

A kind husband
A tender loving father
Ever faithful in friendship
Remembering the widow and the orphan
An humble Christian
He daringly (?)
Bid his children
Rely on Jesus
He was for 34 years a member
of the Baptist Church
For by grace are we saved
through faith and that not
of yourselves. It is the
gift of God.
