Richard 'Nent' Dortch, 93, of Woodland Street died Wednesday afternnon at Volunteer Hospital following a lenghty illness. He was a retired farmer.
He leaves four sons, M.L. Dortch, Herman Dortch, and Cletus Dortch of Martin and Wade Dortch of Paris; five daughters, Mrs. Erlean Edwards of Sharon and Mrs. Callie Myrick, Mrs. Brooksie Carrington, Mrs. Verlie Sudberry, and Mrs. Maxine Garner of Martin; seventeen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
Services were held Friday afternoon at the Doug Murphy Funeral Home with the Rev. Nathan Lasater officiating. Burial was in Corinth Cemetery with Doug Murphy Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers were Monroe Baker, Paul Hunt, Buddy Bright, Glen Volell, Leroy Taylor, and Bobby Oliver
