Elwood C. Mc-Daniel, 56, a farmer, died of a heart attack in his home on Rt. 1 at 1 a.m. Tuesday. He had been in poor health but death was unexpected.
Born in Benton County, he at tended schools in Boswell and South Dakota and was married to Edith Lane in 1931. They lived at Williamsport seven years and operated a theater there, then lived at Marshall, Mich., for seven years before moving to the Boswell community 17 years ago.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge here.
Surviving with the widow are a daughter, Mrs. J e a n e n e Bower of Kentland; his mother, Mrs. Carrie McDaniel of Boswell, and a sister, Mrs. Frank Mink of Lafayette.
