Born in Benton County, he at tended schools in Boswell and South Dakota and was married to Edith Lane in 1931. They lived at Williamsport seven years and operated a theater there, then lived at Marshall, Mich., for seven years before moving to the Boswell community 17 years ago.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge here.
Surviving with the widow are a daughter, Mrs. J e a n e n e Bower of Kentland; his mother, Mrs. Carrie McDaniel of Boswell, and a sister, Mrs. Frank Mink of Lafayette.
