Agnes May Nicodemus
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home for Agnes May NICODEMUS, 82, who died at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, 17 hours prior to her son's death, in the Methodist hospital at Indianapolis where she had been a patient for a week. Death was due to uremic poisoning. Her son, Harry [NICODEMUS], died at 3:15 p.m. Sunday in South Bend.
Mrs. Nicodemus formerly lived at 1122 Elm street, Rochester, but had been residing with a daughter, Mrs. Hazel PFLUEGER, 26 East 14th street, Apr. 11, Indianapolis, since February.
Born Dec. 28, 1872, near Fulton, Mrs. Nicodemus had lived in Rochester about 60 years. She was married here in 1899 to William NICODEMUS, who died May 30, 1950. Her parents were John A. and Clementine BLACKETOR MILLER.
She was a member of the Rochester Legion Auxiliary and was a Gold Star Mother.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. PFLUEGER; three grandsons, Carl PFLEUGER, Jr., Indianapolis; Eddie and Bill NICODEMUS, South Bend; four great-grandchildren, Nancy and Janet PFLEUGER, Indianapolis; Sandy Lee and Randy NICODEMUS, South Bend; two half-brothers, Byron and Dewey MILLER, Chicago. Three sons, Harold, John and Fred [NICODEMUS], preceded her in death.
Mrs. Sam BOWEN, Christian Science readerof Akron, will be in charge of the funeral services and interment will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery here. The body is at the funeral home, where friends may call.
