Miss May Hemler, 53. died at the home of Wright Spalding Saturday following a long illness. She was fifty-three years old.
She was born in Elysian Valley, near Janesville and leaves one sister, Mrs. Wright Spalding, with who she has made her home for some years; one brother, O.C. Hemler, two nephews, Lawrence Hemler, John Spalding and a niece, Frances May Spalding, all of Susanville.
Miss Hemler has been an invalid for many years. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Monday afternoon with interment at the Janesville cemetery.
