On April 30, 1950, she married Alvar W. 'Al' Johnson in Hastings, Nebraska. She was a past member of First United Methodist Church and DAR. She enjoyed sewing, & crafts and owned Country Collection from 1986-1989. After retirement, she moved to Florida in 1991 and returned to Nebraska in 2005.
