Vernie L. J. Ludy, 59, Ridgeville businessman and former council man, died Wedensday at his home in Ridgeville, after a long illness. The former Jay County resident was a member of the Ridgeville E.U.B. church.

Survivors are his wife Jeanette; four daughters Mrs. Charles Conn, Richmond; Mrs. Janet Castle and Miss Irene Ludy, all of Fort Wayne; a son Robert, Portland; three step daugthers, Mrs. Christine Ramsey; Ridgeville, Mrs. Charles Tharp, Munice, and Kathy at home four step sons Denzil Auker, USA ARMY, Dallas Auker; Ridgeville, and Dewain and James Auker at home, a brother, Vilas Ludy, Aurura, 24 grandchidren, and great grand child.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the E. U. B. Church in charge of Rev. Paul Hurst and Rev. Eugene Rapson with burial in Lawndale Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church one hour before the services
and the casket will be closed, during the services. Friends may call at the Middleton mortuary in Ridgeville after 1p.m. Friday.
